I am weighing my options. If you are running either of these wheels, can you please post pictures and let me see how they look. Thanks Trey.

You have to use really big wheel adapters. I had some 10 spoke wheels on my 68 for a while while rolling it around until i bought some wheels. I didnt like the fat wheel adapters.

I used 1.7inch on the front and the rear i never put any on cause I didnt like the idea from the get go. And as a result I have two 1.7 inch adapters sitting on my shelf.

I just have an old one in primer.

Are you saying you need the wheels to go out .7 inches further?

Are you sure about that? I think it has 8.5 or 9.5 inch wheels which were a avaiable GM product but very hard to come by. Hit up Clill here on TC to find out for sure he owns it!!

Re: Is anyone running ZR1 wheels, or 10 spoke SS wheels on there first

I finally got the wheels on it yesterday. I had to run 2" wheel adapter spacers. And actually they turn alot easier, then my pro stars did. Go figure. I was planning on a PS swap, since I have manual steering. I dont think, I am going to have too now. And well the car is almost done with the body work. It is so close I can taste it. These 100+ degree days though are really getting to me. Looks like I will have to continue working around them, since there is no relief in site.

I just saw this thread. Post pics of your car. My wheels on the Red Witch were not custom made. I don't even remember spacers.

I have now graduated to 2010 ZR1 wheels.

Awesome! I really like he ZR1 wheels. What all was involved in doing that? I really wanted a set of 18 or 19" Z06 wheels, but I am a newb when it comes to running these wheels on a first gen.
