Picture Request 15x7 SS Rims

I am looking for a picture of a first gen, preferably a Black 69 with 15x7 SS wheels with 60 series tires. Considering going to them from my ralley's but would like to see what they look like.

If you're going for originality, the SS wheels were 14 x 7. Here they are on my old 69.

Yeah I know I am cheating a little with the 15's. My thought is I would still have a stock appearing car with the advantage of a slightly larger wheel and tire.

Re: Picture Request 15x7 SS Rims

So I am going to go with the SS wheels. Looking for opinions on whether they should be 14's or 15's. Either way going with 60 series tires. Also wondering what is the widest tire I can fit on a 7" rim and have no rubbing in the rear. Plan on going with 225's up front and 255's out back if they will work in the back. Looking for all opinions on the the 14 or 15" issue and a definite answer on the tire size.

IMO: I would go with 15 inch wheels.
And those tire sizes should be OK.

Thanks for the reply. Forums seem slow lately, there was a time when people would respond like crazy.

Re: Picture Request 15x7 SS Rims

The original YA coded 69 "SS" wheels (RPO N66) have 4 3/8 inch backspace.

The aftermarket 15 x 7 Wheel Vintiques has a 4.375 inch backspace, which is the same.

IN the sticky for wheel and tire combos for 69 models, I see a 69 with the N66 wheels with 245 60 14 tires, so a 245 wide tire should fit okay.

https://www.camaros.net/forums/showth...light=n66+back

Overall dia of a 245 60 14 is approx 25.6 inches; a 245 60 15 will be an inch more in diameter, or 0.5 inches farther off the ground. So you should be able to look at the N66 car in that thread to visualize, because the extra size won't be that noticable.
