Re: tire size for 10x15 wheels

This tire from Mickey Thompson would be a good street tire for a mini tubbed car with a 10" rim. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MTT-6641/

With a stock wheel opening the max diameter you will be able to run is 28". MT has tires wider and narrower than this for 15" rims.

What brand of mini tubs were installed?

It sounds like the original tubs were widened? Were the shock mounts moved inboard? What about the springs, were they moved in?

You are going to need to get the car up in the air with jack stands under the rear end housing and take a bunch of measurements. Do you already have the rims? The back spacing on the rim may limit your tire size.

My car was mini tubbed using steel tubs from Chris Alston. The frame was notched, springs moved in, shocks relocated and wheel openings trimmed. I run 29" x 14.5 Hoosier Quick Time Pro tires.

I have to agree^
I see no mention of wanting to hook hard at the track or the street, for that matter.

I forgot that was in your first post. I was thinking of all the things I had to do with my car. If you want a tire that will hook I would recommend the Hoosier Quick Time Pro's. However, they won't last long and you don't want to get caught in the rain with them.
