'68 Camaro Stock wheel and tire question!

I just bought a '68. On the front it has 14s with 195/70R 14 tires. The backs were custom built and are P295/50R 15 tires. I am wanting to get it back to an original look. Can someone tell me if the '68 came with 14 inch or 15s originally? And what size tires? Thank you!

14's on all models except the Z28 which were 15's

If your car has disc brakes in the front you should have XG code rally wheels. If you do not have front disc brakes you should have XN coded rally wheels. Both of these codes are for 14x6 inch wheels.

It could have also come with plain steel wheels...

14x6 "FC" coded wheels for front drum cars and 14x6 "XF" coded wheels for front disc cars.

If you're lucky enough to have the original, undecked engine in the car, the engine assembly stamp will tell you which engine you have...

Re: '68 Camaro Stock wheel and tire question!

I have a stock 1968 Camaro and need a stock 15" rim for a spare tire. What Year 15" rims will fit my car?
Thanks
Rick
