1/2 inch studs instead of 7/16 on rear....

I considering getting a set of TT2's for my '69. I want to stay with 15" so I'll go with a combo like my rallys

Frt: 15x7 with 4 1/4 backspace
Rear: 15x8 with 4 1/2 backspace

I have 1/2 inch studs on the rear. Will the holes in the TT2's be big enough to use the conical seat lug nuts? If not, what's the best way to make things fit?

With the steel rally wheels the holes in the wheels were big enough that I just needed 1/2 lug nuts.

Anyone else done this? I could use some pointers,

Dave

I think they'll fit but it will be tight. As Terry said above, local machine shop can fix right up if not.
Call the Mfg.,they should know too

I'm not sure about the TTII's, but I know the Vintage Wheel Works wheels are made to fit either a 7/16" or 1/2" stud. With the 7/16" stud they come with special tapered seat lug nuts that have a step below the conical seat that fills in the larger hole for the 1/2" studs... here is a pic from their website:

They are very similar the the TTII's but it has been said they are better quality and are at least assembled in the US if not made there. I'm not about cost difference...

Just an idea, if you're set on the TTII's I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to adapt them to the 1/2" studs as has been said above.
