Smaller front tires

I have a '67, that I have changed my front 14" drums to 15" disk. But since I made the changed the tires rubs when I turn a sharp corner.

I am presently running (7" wide rims) P215/65R15.

Can you suggest to me a smaller tire size, one the is narrower and not so tall. I'm old school, and like narrow tires in front (ones that don't rub) and wide in back.
I cannot change my rims, my wife bought them for me, as a present.

Thanks

Terry

Re: Smaller front tires

The smallest 15" T/A is the 205/60, with an O.D. of 24.7" and tread width of 6.6".
Your 215/65 is 26 OD & 7.0 tread width.

I'm curious what type of wheels you're running and what backspace ?? I've never heard of any rubbing issues with the 215/65 on a 67-8.

Ok, after re-reading your post, you didn't mention the brand of tire ????

I have Keystone mags with BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires.

Thank you for your help.

Re: Smaller front tires

You should not be rubbing anything with those already small tires. The backspacing on those wheels must be way wrong. Do you know the BS on them?

Re: Smaller front tires

Yes it is....started to explain it myself, then figured it might be already posted somewhere, like in a "sticky" at the top of the page.
