Rally Wheels

Anyone know what kind of car these came off? Are they from a Camaro with center caps from something else?

Re: Rally Wheels

The wheel looks just like a '67 Corvette's. If you are looking for a set contact Summit Racing. They sell a look-a-like made by Wheel Vintiques. Don't know about the center cap.

Both optimists and pessimists contribute to society. The optimist invents the automobile, the pessimist seat belts, head rests, disc brakes, and air bags.

These are actually on the '67 Camaro I picked up last month. The shop that restored it specializes in Corvettes, so it might make sense that they had a set of old 'Vette wheels lying around.

What was the difference between the '67 Camaro and Corvette Rally Wheels?

Re: Rally Wheels

67 Corvette rally wheels look like '67 Camaro rally wheels. In 1967 the Corvette wheel was 15 x 6" wide. The '67 Z28 Camaro came with a 15 x 6" rally wheel. Maybe there is no difference in the wheel.

Re: Rally Wheels

67 Z28 used a code DF wheel. 67 Vette used a code DC wheel. They have a different offset. Both wheels are 15x6. Your center caps have aftermarket spinners and emblems. the stainless base may also be repro. What are the two letters next to the valve stem? That two letter code will tell what the wheels are originally off of. Post the code. If you have 15x7 wheels they are most likely FW code. That code came on 71-77 and Monte, 73-77 Elcamino and 73- 77 Chevelle. If they are YH code they would have came on either a 69 Z28 or a 70 Monte. If they would happen to be AG code they are 68 Corvette only.

Cool, I'll check the code out and post the results.

Re: Rally Wheels

Fronts are YS code, looks like '68-70 El Camino 15x6's.

Rears are AG code, looks like '68 Vette 15x7's.

The fronts have the same codes on both wheels:
K-1-0 3 (valve stem) 2 YS

Rears don't match, they are K-1-0 1 (valve stem) 26 AG
and K1 over an 8 2 (valve stem) 2 AG
