Re: best price on coy wheels?

I've seen some on Ebay? They are actually just down the road from me in Orem Utah. I've been meaning to stop by, I'm thinking about the C-55's for my 67.

Do you guys know if they are they a manufacturing facility or an importer?

I really like the looks of the 55 as well as the 57.

Re: best price on coy wheels?

Check out the MB Wheels "Old School" model at discounttiredirect.com. They've gone up in price over the past year but they often have sales on wheel sets, and they ship free mounted and balanced. I'm fairly certain that they are actually the C-55 but Coy's has a 90 day to one year warranty whereas the MB Wheels are lifetime, at least they were when I bought mine.

Re: best price on coy wheels?

Sounds like you are correct about the warranty...
Here is a paste from tiresdirect in a description about the OldSchool...

MB Wheels, a Discount Tire exclusive product line, brings the latest in style to the competitive value-priced category. Now you can feel confident knowing the wheel you choose is also a best buy because Discount Tire has done the quality comparisons, set the standards and used its buying power to bring you hot import and truck/SUV styles at the best prices. And to back our MB Wheels, we offer the best warranty you can get - lifetime against workmanship and structural problems. A wide range of styles, sizes, finishes and fitments means you can expect to find an MB wheel for that distinctive look that sets your vehicle apart.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Re: best price on coy wheels?

Not sure if you tried contacting them directly, but I did when I was looking for wheels and was treated terribly. Totally made me feel like I was bothering them. They may not care, but they won't ever get my business. Too many other good, reputable manufacturers out there. JMHO.

Re: best price on coy wheels?

Um, I did after I made that post last night... Here's there response already this AM:

If you are doing c-5 brakes and do not want to run spacers use our c-5 wheel in 18 inch. If you have any more questions or need additional info you can call me at 801-356-2929.

Message: I am interested in your 55 series wheels, do you have any other pictures of them mounted? I am on the fence as to whether I will run 17's or 18's, and if you can tell me which might fit C5 brakes without spacers I would appreciate that too.

My car is a '68 Camaro and it should be about a 3" drop up front and 1.5-2" in the rear if that helps.

Thanks,

Robert

Now, I am not so keen on the Coys C5 because of the curved spokes, I like the C55 with the sharp angled spoke much more.
I would however call that a timely response and he does offer to handle it personally via a phone call.

Hey, if they respond timely and have better customer service, good deal.
