I Love my rims!!

Got a set of American Racing TTO's cause I liked the look of the rims that Yenko Camaros had. 15x7's with 215-70 BFG's. These come with a almost baby blue center (peened aluminum), so I had the centers painted with a 87' Chevy pickup gray metallic acrylic enamel. The painter mixed the clear coat with the gray like he does on tractor hoods, and the result was a very faint "Hammered" look. it turned out awesome IMO, and I couldn't be happier with the shade of gray.

Re: I Love my rims!!

That look's awesome. Exactly the look i am looking for. My 67 is Marina Blue and i think it would look great on my car also. I also saw a Yenko Blue with those wheels and have been wanting to do that ever since. From what i read on this site i would need 15x8 with a 4.5 inch back space to get a 255 on the rear. What do you have on the rear? American Racing doesn't seem to make them. Let me know. Your car looks awesome. Thanks Mike

Re: I Love my rims!!

I put the same size all the way around, that way I can rotate if I want, plus I read and saw on some other forums that the 15x8 TTO's have an extra step up where the gray meets the polished aluminum, that doesn't look as good as the 7" rims, IMO. I ordered these rims out of a place in Kansas City with lugs and stems delivered for 625.00 way cheaper than Jegs or Summit. Here's a link. According to this guy, 15x7's are what Yenkos came with all the way around. http://www.fastlanespeedandrodshop.c...an_racing.html

Re: I Love my rims!!

Very nice ! Down the road I might have to get mine repainted as I like your spoke coloring much better than the color that comes from ARE.
