High performance rubber for 15 inch wheel

Anyone know of a tire manufacturer that makes an aggressive performance tire for a 15 inch wheel. I am not looking for Drag Radials, just a high performance tire other than the typical BFG Radial TA. Or do I make the jump to a 17. I like my TT2s,but want a better performing tire and more aggrresive tread design.

67 Camaro, 350, TCI Street Fighter TH350, 2"drop front, TT2 wheels, Molded 3rd brake light, and some other stuff done to it.

Re: High performance rubber for 15 inch wheel

The problem with a 15" tire is that to get a performance compound (which the do make), the sidewall is so short that the tire looks ridiculous in the wheel well. About the most popular size is a 225/50R15. That's about 2.5" smaller in diameter than a 235/60.

Re: High performance rubber for 15 inch wheel

Cooper makes a 245/60R15 that is "T" rated for 118 mph for less than $100.00 each thru Summit Racing. How fast do you plan to go?

Both optimists and pessimists contribute to society. The optimist invents the automobile, the pessimist seat belts, head rests, disc brakes, and air bags.

Thanks for the info, all great choices, would work for my fronts but I want at least a 245 60 15 out back... really like the Yokahoma Avan Neova AD08s, think I am leaning toward the 17 inch wheels.

If you go 17's, you have a ton of choices.
