Will these wheels fit a 69?

I have a chance to buy 2 - 15x8.5 Torq Thrust D's with 3.5" backspacing very cheaply...
I want to put them on the rear of my 69 Coupe w/basically stock suspension.

From what I have read... there is not enough backspacing.
Any thoughts?

i would have to guess on from what i have researched that you would need a 4.5 or 5" backspace with a 8.5" wheel

If you want the old school look they will work but you will have to jack up the back of the car quite a bit.

Very common is a 9.5" wide wheel with 5.75" bs, with a 275 tire it will fit inside the fender on a '69. An 8.5" with 5.25" bs would be centered the same, as would a 7.5" wide wheel with 4.75 bs and a 7" wide wheel with 4.5" bs.

That 8.5 is a deep dish wheel and will stick outside the fender lip.
