Help to find Tires!

I need to replace the tires on my "tow" truck, a 69 BB C-10 short and wide that I use to tow my 69 Camaros. The tires are not worn, but they are getting try rotted after 13-14 years. The wheels were matched to the tires to give it the right slightly lowered look back when. I have Billet Spealities all around, 10" X 16 on the rear and 8" X 16 on the front. Tires are 295-50-16 on the rear and 265-50-16 BFG's on the front, both have been discounted and cannot find replacements. I really do not want to change the rims. Any help would be appreciated in either locating BFG tires or other close sizes. The 16's are not that popular in the bigger sizes.

Re: Help to find Tires!

I dont know if this helps you or not. I have found that buying tires has a certain voodoo flair when it comes to sizes. I used tire racks search but I am sure you could use other companies also. I could find your rear tires in the bfg but not the front. by searching around I found some that were close to your size in kuhmo, bfg and some others. by close I mean like a 255 50 16 or 265 45 16. I hope you can see what I am getting at. if you make some changes in the exact size you might find some that will work. usually more that just one specific tire will work for your combo. good luck. mark
