Disc Brake center caps.....

I see that there are center caps available for the Rally wheel. If you had disc in the front and drums in the rear what center caps should have come on the car? i would guess and say "Disc Brakes" on the front wheels. If that is the case than what should be on the back wheels? What came from the facory with that option. Also would it be the same for all three years?

Thanks

Re: Disc Brake center caps.....

The 67 had a flat cap while 68 and 69 had the derby cap. None that I am aware of said "Disk Brakes" on them, only Chevrolet Motor Division.

Edit...I forgot about the 67 Camaro was among the other models having that cap.

Brandan...a 1967 thing only ! All wheels had the same "Disk Brakes Chevrolet Motor Division" cap on them.

See my post above with other models that used them.

Re: Disc Brake center caps.....

Two different center cap designs were used on the rally wheels for a 67 Camaro. If a car was equipped with front disc brakes, then all four center caps on that car said "disc brakes." There was no call-out for the disc brake option on the 68/69 center caps.

Re: Disc Brake center caps.....

The picture of the 67 style center above that doesn't say "DISC BRAKES" was used on the fake wire wheel hub caps originally. Chevrolet was selling that one as a replacement after the centers that said DISC BRAKES ran out. Jeff is corect about the 68 and later cap though.

Re: Disc Brake center caps.....

Ok, so I am getting ready to order the center caps for my 67 and it looks like I will get four caps with the "disc brakes" on them, I am thinking that they should be the flat caps and not the derby caps, like Kevin was saying. Anyone have a link to what a 67 rally wheel with the proper disc brake cap on it should look like?

I am trying to be as correct as I can. I wasn't sure what to order. thanks!!!
