Opinion on these wheels

Before:

After:

They are American Racing 17 x 9 all around. There is very slight tire rub when the wheels are fully turned. Is a little tire rub ok? I can get them all for $550. What do you think?

Re: Opinion on these wheels

It definitely changes the look of your car, but I'm so tired of those TT's. Everybody has 'em.. If I were you, I'd invest in drop springs for the front. Less than half the cost and it'll also make the car look more agressive

just my 2 cents..

Definitely an improvement... even though a lot of people have the TT's.

Classic look for sure...

I'm with ya on the TT's But I'm looking at that price tag I was thinking 1" drop in the back and 2" drop in the front. Because I notice the front is currently sitting higher than the back.

wheels look great before and after....I like the look of the TT 2's....they look great....my car used to sit like yours....I did the 2 inch drop in front and 1.5 in the rear and there is no rub or bottoming out...its perfect...

Re: Opinion on these wheels

Thank you for reminding me not to purchase 17" wheels for my '68 Camaro. The ralley wheels look sharp on your car! And, are period correct!

Both optimists and pessimists contribute to society. The optimist invents the automobile, the pessimist seat belts, head rests, disc brakes, and air bags.

Re: Opinion on these wheels

What's the backspacing on the fronts, and what size tires? It looks like they might rub on the fender if you drop it too much.

Re: Opinion on these wheels

I like the look, though my preference if for a little less rim and little more rubber.

I also stumbled on the fact that the TT's are everywhere, so I went with the Fuel Chrome. Get lots of compliments at local shows. Have yet to see another car with them.

Re: Opinion on these wheels

The new rims look good. Dropping it will make it look better! What size were the rallys? I don't think the front will fit if you drop it, not with 9" rims.

Re: Opinion on these wheels

Hard to complain at $550 bucks! If you don't want them I'd be interested. I can't find anything decent for under a grand. Keep the rally's and switch, two totally different looks.

Re: Opinion on these wheels

Yeah, you got a great deal on those wheels...
but I have to agree with some of the others... TT2's are just not my 'cup-of-tea'.
And, yes I would lower the front only of your car(I like a bit of a rake).

Re: Opinion on these wheels

9" up front? They are going to rub, I promise and you don't want that. I looked at the TT2 but as already mentioned EVERYONE has them so went with Foose Legends instead. Drop front/rear is a must with this style of wheels.

Re: Opinion on these wheels

Good price, and a different look over the stock doughnuts, but as others have said, they are everywhere which is probably why they are for sale....
