Where to buy steel wheels?

I will be buying redline tires some time in the near future and putting mag hubcaps back on and trying to get my car back to looking "as stock" as possible.

How does one go about finding 14x6 FC steel wheels in or around So California (Chino Hills to be exact)? Anyone know where I should start looking?

Re: Where to buy steel wheels?

You could try Wheel Vintiques (Summit carry their wheels):
http://www.summitracing.com/search/B...?Ns=Rank%7cAsc
However, if you are chasing genuine original coded wheels, best bet is your local Craigslist, ePay or swap meets.

Thanks for the offer wagonman but I think shipping alone would kill me!

Suggest trying the Classic Restoration Store in Hunington Beach, CA, I was told by the Editors of Team Camaro not to post phone numbers, as there are many spammers/scammers in the World....There are lot's of businesses that sell classic car parts, and sure they will have the wheels you need Matter of fact I have a set sitting in my shop with tires mounted, but don't plan on selling them, sorry........................

After suggesting this, I read another post that stated most aftermarket rally wheels are lug-centric, not hub-centric like original GM wheels. Worth checking if you do consider going with the aftermarket wheels, as lug-centric rims can often generate a fair bit of vibration, which can be really off-putting.....

I take it that's Australian for irritating. Maybe we can get a confirmation from Steps. LOL.

I've got a set(4) of 14x7 steel wheels that will fit over disc brake and will accept the proverty cap. PM if interested. Reasonable. Just took off car. See my profile pict. below.

Yep - off-putting means it puts you off what you're trying to enjoy. In other words, as you said, irritating - like in "giving you the $hits".
And Steps wouldn't appreciate being labelled Australian - he's a proud Kiwi, and probably still getting over the Tri-Nations loss last Saturday....
But Steps - hopefully will make for an entertaining World Cup in a couple of weeks time!

Place an ad on www.yenko.net in the 'parts wanted' section.
