Please confirm my wheel and tire choice.........

OK guys, I've been browsing all the posts and pictures of cars with the look I'm going for and this is what I've come up with.

The car is a 67 with 4 wheel drums all around.
I'm going to go with a 15x7 in the front with 4.25 inch BS and a 225-60 tire.
In the rear, a 15x8 with 4.25 BS and a 255-60 tire.

What do you think? You confirm it, and I'll buy it!

Future plans are to install 4 wheel disc brakes, nothing crazy, just the kit from Right Stuff, and a Hotchkis TVS kit. I dont think any of those mods will conflict with my decision. The only decision is with the Hotchkis kit, should I do the 1.5 inch drop in the rear, or the 3 inch?????

Thanks again for your help!!!!!!!
I promise to post pics when I get it all installed!

Disk brakes may push your wheels out 1/2 inch or so. Keep that in mind.

Go with 4.5 bs on the 15x8 in the rear.

Go with the 4.5" BS or 4.75" BS to hopefully get the tire within the outer sheetmetal. I had to have 4.75" on my '69 model.

And disc brakes will not push your wheels out 1/2". The only difference in wheel location will be the difference in thickness between the face of the drums and the face of the discs.

X2, especially since you have plans to lower it. you don't want the rear fenderwell lip cutting into the sidewall over bumps or fast turns.

Re: Please confirm my wheel and tire choice.........

Thanks for all the replies and emails guys! The wheels only come in a 4.25 BS so I'm kinda stuck with it. Should I go with a slightly narrower rear tire? Say a 245 maybe?
