Re: 20x10?

Without mini-tubbing the wheelwell I really don't think so.

Re: 20x10?

I had 20/8.5 wheels on the back of my 67 when I first bought it and IMO that is the widest you can safely fit. With a 10" wide wheel your going to have the rear excessively high or mini tub it.

I have since replaced the 20/8.5 with 18/9.5 and like the look much better.

Jerimiah, do you have before and after pics you could post? Bartell has mentioned he doesn't want to ride on rubber bands so it might help him to see those 20's

I have 20x9.5 on the rear of my 69 with a 12 bolt and multi leafs. They have a 5.5" backspacing and I run 285/30/ZR20 tires with no clearance issues. Here is a pic of the rear.

Re: 20x10?

Thanks Bkerns. Looks great! Are those Boss 338's?
No offense, but that is what I call rubber bands. I would like a wide tire and about double that sidewall height. I have all stock suspension and I don't want lack of rubber to add to the rough ride! Been through that before.

Re: 20x10?

They are Boss 338's. You may be able to add a little more backspacing and get a little taller tire to tuck inside the fender well but it will be really close. I have another .75-1" space between the inner fender well and the sidewall but dont think I would go any wider because my car sits low in the rear. I have my car up on stands at the moment so I took a few pics. They wouldn't upload in my reply so I uploaded them in my album on the forum.

Re: 20x10?

What made you choose the Boss 338's? Im stuck bewteen Coy C5 and Boss 338's. Black, Silver, or Gunmetal Gray. Ill have to post some current photos of the car.
