Which has a brighter shine?

I'm looking for a new set of rims for my 1967 convertable and would like to know what type of rim has the brighest shine or finish. I like the old fashioned Cragar's 5 Spoke SS and while those seem to be shiny the finish pales in comparission to some others I've seen. I know there is a chrome rim or polished aluminum but need to know which finish is brighter. Thanks in advance for any info.

Re: Which has a brighter shine?

Crager 30+yrs ago gleemed, but since then the pre plating polish and pre electolyis is cheap.
If u see a set these days that really gleem, then it is most likely an old 2nd hand set thats been stripped, re sufaced all the pre chome coatings put on.....old school way.
When it comes to chrome...old school quailty costs..there is a lot of labour in it.

Chrome will always be brighter than alloy due to its hardness.

My Spelling is not incorrect...it is creative
