255/60r15 with 1.5" drop springs

Hi, I searched and couldn't find this combo unless I overlooked it. I am currently running 15x8 rallys with 4.5"bs on the back with stock multileafs. ( 2"drop in front).Wanting to go with the Hotchkis 1.5" drop springs. Any forseeable problems and will I need to roll the lips?? Any thoughts appreciated.

You're not trying this on the front as well, right?

No, I have a 2" drop on the front with a 15x7/ 4.25 bs and a 225/60. No problems there at all.

Re: 255/60r15 with 1.5" drop springs

if you get a chance post some pictures when its done. Im working on my idea of the perfect combo of wheels ( switched from all 14 x 7s and currently 15x8 rear , 14x6 front) and tires for a 69 but still am looking at tires

Will do on the pics. My car is a 69 also. Hoping to do this soon as the weather breaks a little.

Re: 255/60r15 with 1.5" drop springs

Suggest you wait on your decision until you get more feedback from the 69er crowd. Have my doubts that arrangement will fit w/o some mods.....

That combo fit on my '69 (Hotchkis 1 1/2" lowering rear leafs) and also on my '67 (stock monoleafs) with no issues.

1969 RS/SS Camaro (being improved!)

Re: 255/60r15 with 1.5" drop springs

if it's a 67-8 you should be fine, that's pretty much what I use to run, just with a 215/65 front but the 255/60/15 rear and similar drop.
