What is the correct answer? 67 SS disc brake center caps and rings

I read several different opinions, but am trying to nail down the true correct center cap and ring combination for my 67 RS/SS that came with disc brakes.

I have 2 sets that each came with an "original OEM" set of DG wheels, but they each have different parts. Pictures would be great, as one set is a stainless cap with a chromed hood with a hole in the middle. The other set has a chrome cap and a solid hood with no opening. The rings are actually 3 different types, but all are heavy and seem original to the era.

Re: What is the correct answer? 67 SS disc brake center caps and rings

Here are some pictures of the original caps and rings that came on my '67. My car is not an SS but has the disc brake option so it got the narrow 14X5 "DA" rally wheels. SS cars with disc brakes got the wider 14X6 "DG" rally wheels.

Chevrolet used the same trim ring and center caps on cars with DA and DG wheels. The original trim rings are held on with four steel clips. The "flat" center caps have a bowtie emblem and say Chevrolet Motor Division - Disc Brakes. The cap is polished stainless steel and the ornament is chrome.

I drove it for the first time in 1972 when I was 15.

Better looking than a '56 Ford or Plymouth.

Excellent, thank you! That means I have 1 full set that is original. Now I have my "keepers" for this project, also a keeper. The other set...not so much original, though the caps themselves are the real thing. Will have to put them on Craigslist when I get back in town.
