Back spacing

It seems that most people running 15 x 8 rear ralley wheels use 4.5" of back spacing. Is 5" too much back spacing? There is a set for sale locally for a reasonable price.

Re: Back spacing

Go for the deal...you can always add a spacer if needed.

Re: Back spacing

Factory 15x8 Corvette rally wheels have a 4" BS, which is probably the most common backspace. A 4.5" BS is an aftermarket wheel, most likely Wheel Vintiques. 5" BS is a lot for up front I think (factory 15x7 rally's have a 4.25" BS), but I do have 15x8 5" BS on the rear of my 69 with 255/60-15. They fit fine; no rubbing, tuck in nicely, and the 15x7 trim ring that I had from my previous wheel fit too. https://www.camaros.net/forums/pictur...pictureid=5142
