tire scrub issue

I have a 1969 camaro with 17x8 mb old school wheels. 235 45 tires. The front is lowered using hotchkis lowering coils. 1.5" I think. The driverside tire hits the top of the fender lip when turning. I have plenty of clearance on the passenger side. Any ideas as to what may be my problem?
