17" ralleys help needed

Hi all this is my first post here and thought i would make it today.
I would like to purchase a set of 17" 66 ralley wheels from wheel vintiques.
I want to run an 8"rim on the front and 9" on the rear 555 nitto 245/45 and 275/40. The wheels come in an 8"x 4 1/2" bs and 9"x 5"bs. They will go on a standard 69 camaro that have had the guards rolled. Will these fit ok or will the bs need to be customised.
Thanks for any help you can offer or a picture of these fitted already if anyone has one.

Re: 17" ralleys help needed

I have the same size wheels and BS as you do in front but am running a 235 tire. You may have problems with that 245 rubbing the fender well like I did. It took me many different combinations of wheels, BS and tire sizes before I hit the right set-up. You should have no problem with the rear, since I have a 275 tire on a 9.5" wheel with no rubbing. One thing that I did find out through my experience was that all cars are a little different and what may fit one car may not work on another, so good luck with your package and hope that it fits the first time!!

This is right at the top of this forum...

As said the 245's are going to be a problem on 17x8 w/ 4.5" bs. They might work with 4.75" bs but your turning radius lock to lock will cause some tire rubbing on the frame rail and you'll need the right alignment and button head allen fender bolts.

Try this link, it's also stuck at the top of this forum... The sizes and mod's are the same for rallys or other wheels, brakes can be an issue on some wheels...

Thanks mate i did read that thread before but as was stated cars seem to vary so i guess figers crossed and see what happens. I am confident the rear will be ok but the front might be a bit of a squeeze.
I will put up some pics once fitted and will add imformation to the 69 sticky.
Thanks all, would still like to see some fitted on some other 69s if possible.
Mark.
