295/65/15

Anyone running MT 295/65/15 on a 67-68 camaro? Will they stuff in the wells of a stock spring location camaro with widened inners and shocks relocated? Running a 9" rim now with a 275/60/15 and 1.5 drop springs. Still have some room.

John,
If you compare the size you have and the new tire and I don't think it will work on your car.

Kev

TIRE SIDEWALL WIDTH HEIGHT

295/65/15 7.58 11.61 30.10

275/60/15 6.50 10.83 27.99

That's tight. I only have 1\2" left between spring and sidewall now because my tires are tucked. Wish they made a 29 or 30 tall in the same width I'm currently running.

I would be safe to say a little over 11 1/2" wide?

Re: 295/65/15

Yep John,,,

A bit over 11 1/2 wide on the new size tire and a little over 10 3/4 on the old size tire. With only 1/2 allowance that you say you now have, the new tire is 1/4 too wide for your width not considering growth. I'll bet you will cut them up in no time.

I'm with you on that one. A 275/65 would be the ticket, but I've not seen any. A 30" tire will be too tight at the front of the stock wheel well.

Wish I had more options. Looks good on this year.
