NHRA requires a certain length stud once you go so fast (9's I think?) and some people like the look or want people to think it's that fast.

I have a light blue car... dark blue calipars and drums .....sig links
SS cragars, so at the end of the centers the s/s is dark blue and the surround matches the car...I think thats cool, but no one notices lol

Looks nice.
As DougG suggests, NHRA requires the stud shall be in the hex portion of the lug nut at least by the stud diameter - per ET Handicap Racing and General Regulations.
No time requirement given.
