Will they fit?

Found a set of Rally Wheels coded (I'm told...will see them in person this weekend) 3YW disc brk K18. I believe originally for a Chevelle?

As these are intended for disc brakes, my question is can they be used safely for drum brakes?

One day I hope to convert, but for now... like to get some Rally's on.

Re: Will they fit?

Yes !!

The reason they are stated for disk brakes is not all rally wheels can be used on a disk brake car. If they fit a disk brake car...they are fine on a drum brake car !

Re: Will they fit?

Bear in mind that you're only going to get a stock-size rotor/caliper inside those rims (11"), so if you're planning on a larger brake setup than that down the road, you'll need new rims.

Yes, but he said "one day I plan to convert"- I assumed that meant he wanted discs some day- not that he wanted to convert to Judaism.....

Re: Will they fit?

Do you really want 14" wheels and tires? If you are doing a correct "factory" restoration sure but then you'll want the correct wheel code too. A restoration that "looks stock" but uses functional but not necessarily correct parts the 14" rallys work but when you do the disk upgrade you run the risk of not getting the right "factory" style rotors and calipers and you could end up spending a lot more than you want... Also what about trim rings and derby caps... A 15" 60 series tire will handle and corner better than a 14" 70 series tire and '67 and '68's are notorious for the tires not filling up the wheel well...

I'm not trying to be negative about the 14" wheels, I'm just giving you food for thought! Price out everything to be rolling on 14" wheels and tires and do the same for some 15" rallys and see if you are saving anything.

Nope..from a Ford guy to a Chevy guy Yea , a 14x6 wheel is ok if no disk upgrade is going to be done in the near future.
