Wheel Tire ??

Will these fit the rear of a 69 without any modifications? 15x9 with 4.5" BS..I don't want the wheel sticking out want it tucked inside the wheelwell. With a 275/60/15. or a 15X8 with 4.5"BS? Thanks.

Re: Wheel Tire ??

For sure a 15X8 wheel with 4.5"BS will fit the rear of a 69.
A 275/60 tire is pretty big... not sure about that.

Re: Wheel Tire ??

You want a positive 6 offset to center the wheel in the fender well. That equates to:
9" w/5" backspacing
8" w/4.75" bs
7" w/4.25" bs

When you start going wider than 7-8" with 14 & 15" tall wheels you run into issues clearing shocks and you have to use smaller backspacing which push the wheels out of the wheel well.
