Correct wheels

I have purchased a 1969 z28 dz302 it has American thrust wheels that look tough but I would like to find orig wheels.
What is the correct size and date codes on the rim?

What are the fattest tires I can fit on these rims?
I want it to look stock and don't want them to stick out and look stupid

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Correct wheels

the stock ralley on a 69Z was a 15x7 code AD or YH if i remember correctly,

i think the original size tire was a F-70-15 not sure if it was the goodyear polyglass or firestone wide ovals or EITHER ?

going with a radial maybe a 215x70x15 or somewhere close in that range
not sure on the hieght from a 205 to a 225 ...but in that range should be ok.

you could probably run a 60 series tire and have plenty of clearance but with some tire buldge possibly on a 7in rim

the biggest i have fit into a stock 69 REAR wheelwell on a 8in corvette ralley is a 275x60 x15 .

hope some of that helps .

It depends on your build date.
