Off set & back spacing

I have on order a set of ss cragars chrome all alu. (17x8 with 4-1/2 back spacing). I saw another set of wheels with 25mm offset and 3-1/2 backspacing. My question is understanding off set and back spacing. Am I getting the right wheels?????

Larry - check out this link... https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html

Ideally you want a +6 offset on your '69... On an 8" wide wheel that's 4 3/4" back spacing... 3 1/2" backspacing provides lots of inner fender clearance but pushes the tires and wheels out too far causing rub on the outer fender and fender lip unless your car has a 4x4 stance.

Thanks Dennis

I read your profile, hope you have a job by now.
Nice car, I've been thinking of lowering mine (just thinking about it).
