Re: 17 inch wheel and tire fitment

I have 18's on mine. BS in the front are 4.5 and the rear are 5.5. I have 8 inch on the front and 9.5 inches on the rear. The car is lowered and a full radius turn on the steering wheel, the fronts rub a tad. No issues with the rear.

Re: 17 inch wheel and tire fitment

on my 68 wheels 17 X 10 on the rear and 17 X 8 inch on the front
Tires are 285/40ZR17 on the rear and 235/40R17 on the front

5 inch offset on rear, I do have a 1/4 in spacer between rear wheels and drum to keep it from rubbing on inside thought

cj - you might get more info from the sticky threads at the top of this forum...

What ever wheel width you get for your '69 shoot for the +6 offset for best fit of widest tires.

Re: 17 inch wheel and tire fitment

What wheels in particular are you looking at? The 9" wheel in back (if they offer it), in my opinion is ideal, but the 9.5" works as well. ***edit by mod ***

Re: 17 inch wheel and tire fitment

The Blvd is a nice looking wheel, and the 17x7 and 17x8's would work. THey have a 0 offset, which will be Ok for the car. If you want to go wider, they offer the 18x9 and 18x9.5, but the 18x9 would require a small spacer.
