Looking for wheels.

Can you gentlemen recommend a good looking wheel ( this should get it started) LOL . for my '68 Convertible, Sunset pearl.? What would Keystones look like on it? I am not a fan of torque thrust.
And I am thinking 17s and 18s

Re: Looking for wheels.

Steve there is a lot of '68 pic's in the what fits threads stuck at the top of the forum... We all know what a '68 looks like, and don't need pictures of your car to suggest a wheel. The guys just want pictures!

Here's a link to the '68 wheels thread... It should give you a good sampling of different wheels, look it over and see what you like.

Cragar wheels can be bought thorugh summit for a great prices and free shipping. I run the series 500 Elminators in natural finish and they look kick azz!!!

They make the vintage series wheels in 15 inch and 17 inch. I personally like the 15 inch for the old school looks but that is just my opinion. They also make the SS in a few styles and in 17 inch. I think it's a less common choice vs the TT II style. I am very happy with my wheels and could sell them from my trunk at car shows and cruises based on the responce I get from people about how much they like my wheels.

3 of the wheels I really like. The top one is mine series 500 Eliminator, second is the series 610 GT and third the series 391 Bonneville, it's 2 piece wheel.

Re: Looking for wheels.

I have a nice set of rally wheels but I think a nice set of Cragers or other 5 spoke would really make it POP

Re: Looking for wheels.

I have Cragers on mine and I really like them (old school) but I have also taken liking to these T70R's and they make them in 17's.

The T70R is a very nice looking wheel. If your going to get it in a 15 inch I think that only the 15x7 will do able on four corners because the back space for the both the 15x7 and 15x8 is 4.0. I know on a 67-68 4.5 on a 15x8 is perfect.

I'm buying these this spring. I was in Indiana for the holidays and stopped by tirerack to check them out. They're WAY better in person than on the screen. The picture isn't accurate. the barrell has more of a hump in it and the finish is a lot nicer than the it looks. it's very smooth. reminds me of a foose wheel.

i'll probably go 17x7 on the front and 18x8.5 on the rear. i'm looking at others as well but these keep calling me back to them.
