Re: Tire Pressure 17" Nitto 555

I have 18" Nitto 555's, 255 on back 235 front and I keep them at 35 pounds all the way around. Nice middle number. I think the max pressure is 50?

Re: Tire Pressure 17" Nitto 555

My Nitto 555 tires are max cold rated at 44psi. I run them somewhere between 32 and 36psi depending on driving conditions, a little less for better traction and a little more for better fuel economy on the long drives.

The only time you would ever go near the tires max psi rating is if you were hauling bricks in the trunk and 4 - 400lb passengers in the car!

I guess I should include I have 235/45 17 and 255/45 17 tires.

Re: Tire Pressure 17" Nitto 555

FWIW, I have Nitto 555's as well, 275/40/18 and 245/40/18. I contacted Nitto about tire pressure recommendations for the street as well as for Autocross. They recommended 32psi front and 29psi rear for the street.

Re: Tire Pressure 17" Nitto 555

I run 32 after dropping down from 35. Getting even wear out to the edges now. 2002 camaro with 245's spec at 30 so figure ours should be in the area.
