I was just wondering if 15 x 8 rally rims will fit on my 68 Camaro. The tires are P245 SR15 95H BF Goodridge Euro TAs. Will I have the same rubbing problem as the previous person that posted a question about this situation?
Thanks
Rick

Rick, From experience, and yes Im the one with the previous post on 15 x 8's, They will fit but you will have some rubbing (possibly?). I suggest as with I wish I did, ask the guy your buying them from to try them out. Put them on your car crank your wheel hard left and right and see if there is any contact with ANY part of the car. Then take it for a drive, and go over bumps. If the contact is ok for you or there isnt any buy them, if not ask yourself if this is acceptable. Another guy I was talking with had the same problem with rubbing on a 68 so Im wondering if there is a fix because those 15 x 8's sure do look good. Im rebuilding my front end with new springs (30+ years old) also new front end bushing and bearing at the same time. Im trying to raise and stiffin my front hoping it will handle the rims. I sure hope all this $$$ and work fixes it. Also your tires look wider and less sidewall then mine so you should have more clearance. I want to wear out these tires that came with the rims before I buy new ones and I will go with a 245 50, which should give me more room. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for the info Mike, I have decided to rebuild the 427 thats sitting in my garage. The tires and rims will have to wait a few months. I currently have 14" x 6" rallye rims on it with cheap $30.00 tall tires. I am going to have to upgrade quick if I want to go anywhere when the light turns green.

Rick, I just finished rebuilding my front end, and I have no more rubbing problem with my 15 x 8 rims in the front. So if your front springs are good then you should have no problem fitting those bad boys under there.
