Cool

i have a 70 z-28 that i bought from the original owner, in 1980. I've had it in storage for the last 20 years and have decided to work on it now. The original rims were on the car, they are 14". someone told me the 70 z's had only 15" is this true or could the factory substituted the 14".
need any help

Thanks

Your Z28 would have come with rims visually identical to the five spoke rims on late 70's Z28's. Does your Z still have the 6500 redline tach?

Yes it does have the 6500 redline tach.
The rims that came with the car are the three piece, with beauty rings and chevy center caps.

Chevrolet never made a 14" Z or S.S style 5 spoke wheel for the ' 70 - up Z, and ' 71 -72 Chevelle. They were 15" wheels. The ' 69-70 Chevelle S.S wheels were 14", and had a S.S centercap, and trim rings. You probably have these or the 2nd. design rally wheel, with a beauty band, and a clip on cap (with a bowtie emblem cast in the center). They have 6 squares cut out around the wheel, and some had stainless trim pieces around these holes. Look at Mad Mike's page, he has several pics of the correct wheels for a Z on his page. www.NastyZ28.com
Click on the message board, and the cars are on several of the topic pages.
