i,ve gotten a set of 15x8 rallies with a 4and a half inch offset.is this correct wheels for a 69. i mean will they rub or what size tires do i need to run. they have a set of 235 x70 on them now but something just don,t look right. or would i be better off getting a set of 14 inch rallies.or do i just need to change tire size on the 15 inch wheels. thanks

I can tell you what sounds wrong to me 235/70's on 8 " wheels I have 235/60/15 on my 15 x 7 rallys. With a 4.5" offset they will rub up front when you turn. I would go with 7" rims up front. Do a search on largest tire size in this topic and you will find much more info.

I have 5x8 rims on my car with 235/60/15. they look great. And the car drives like a dream. The 245's will rub on the front but if your car has good shocks and springs then the 235/60/15's are the best why to go.

235/60's on 15x7 with 4" back spacing are about the limit up front on your '69! I have these on all 4's. I would guess the rears would take 15x8's with 4 1/2" back spacing with 255/60's. Like Ken mentioned they might be just a bit large in the rim....

Z's came with 15x7" wheels w/4" back spacing, I don't think any others did though! If they did someone will let us know...
