Question

I have just bought 15x7 Corvette Rims for my 68 Camaro. The off set is 4". I want to know what size tires should I put on without them rubbing. I want to put the biggest on and do not want them sticking out the fenders or rubbing them. I have air shocks on the rear but do not want them jacked up they are there only to level the ride out. Any help??? Thank you

Hey Chris, a sure fit size is
a 235/60/15 it's a good size for those rims.
You should be able to retain the stock ride
in the rear with these. Ask your tire dealer
if you can go up to maybe 245/60/15? for more
tread on the width.

I agree with joe. I have the 235-60-15 on the front. They are marginal for mine, any bigger in front and it would rub for sure. The 245-60-15 should be O.K. for rear without rubbing.

Chris,

Go look at the thread from JVOLK81 on

"How large a tire with a 15" wheel on a 68".

We have already covered this one pretty well. I will be glad to send you pictures as I did to them if you provide me your E-MAIL address.

I have the same wheel on the rear. I run BFG 245/60/15's on back with minimal clearance, but no rub. I did test fit my 15X8's up front with 235/60/15. They rubbed on turn in and on outer lip. I decided to go with 15X7's with 4.5" BS up front. Perfect fit.

Oops! Just realized you said 15X7" Corvette wheels. Mine are 15X8" I didn't know they came im 7" width. Are you sure?
