I own a 1969 SS Camaro. I would really like to go with 17" wheels. I would like information about backspacing and drop spindles. Any information on wheel and tire sizes that would enable me to use 17" wheels would be helpful. Thanks!

Your backspacing depends on how much tire you want to run, with 17"'s I would suggest at least 4 1/2. I have 15's with 4 1/4 and I still have room for several sizez larger, with Drop spindles, your most likely gonne hit somthing, as the dropped spindle will lower your car 1-2 inches. thus decreasing tire room.
