I'm trying to decide on which size wheels and tires to purchase for my 69. I've read all of the posts on this topic and am still undecided and somewhat confused. Can I go wrong with a 16x8(R) and 16X7(F) wheel? Will 245/60R/16s(rear) and 205/70R/16s(Front)fit? If not, what about the same combo with a 15" rim? Does anyone have a picture of their car with 16" Torq-Thrust wheels? Sorry for all of the questions, just want to get this right the first time.

My '69 has 17x7 and 17x8 TT2's with BFG Comp T/A's at 245/45/17 front and 255/45/17 rear. Check out the pictures on my site below. My car is also lowered 2" all around and there is no rubbing or interference.

I use 16x7 front, 16x8 rear with 225/255 rubber. No problem.

Question

If you guys don't mind me asking, what did the rims and tires cost you guys all together? I've been on this site for a few months now and after looking at many members cars, and the cars on pro-touring.com, I really like the look of TT 2's with big meats. Especially your car RockyMtnRacer!!
I want to run them on my 67. What kind of gears are you running? Tall tires will make a difference in gear choice. I plan on running an M-22, ford 9", Is 3.73 going to be too steep?

the 16'' TT 2s cost me about $190 a rim two years ago, now they are up to around $210/each. The tires I am using are Z rated Firestone Firehawks, they look nice and are less expensive than some other high perf tires.
