Yeah I'm in the same boat myself...I'm going with anything between a 4-6 bs on an 18x12 wheel..and will shorten the 12 bolt to accomodate. The difference is not much but I've been beating myself over weather to go with a 4,5, or a 6in. backspace. I really like a deep aggresive dish, but dont want the spokes to get lost amongst all that dish. I still want the spokes to show from kind of closeup. You got to remember that BS is calculated from the inside lip to the mounting flange...but for example you go with 6 in BS on an 18x12 rim- that doesn't mean you'll have 6 inches of a nice deep dish...the thickness of the hub/spokes take away from the remaining 6 inches. According to Colorado Custom the hub/spokes of the 'LAzears' I'm ordering are about 2 inches thick/wide. That would leave me with about 4 inches of a front dish(1.5 inches of it would be that little lip & step-up on the outter diameter of the rim).
