The rear wheels are from Daryl Kalweits '68 Camaro taken from PHR magazine last year. He's running 18x12 Colorado Custom- Lazear wheels, but the Backspacing is UNKNOWN. BTW, the Colorado Custom tech guy says the Lazear wheel spokes from the wheel mounting flange to the very front/outside of the spokes(where it connect to the hoop) is about 2 inches thick/wide.

Can you guys give me your 'best guess' on what he's running in terms of backspacing????

Just click on pic to get the little zoom tab pop-up. Then click on the zoom tab to seethe actual 'regular size' pic which is much more helpful.

Thanks,
Chris

If the housing was of a factory 67-69 width, I would guess that the BS would be 6.75".

8" wheel @ 4.5
9.5" wheel @ 5.5 (1.5" difference)
11" wheel @ 6.5 (1.5" difference)
12" wheel @ 6.75 (1" difference)

I hope you see the corelation in the differences I provided. For every 1.5" in wheel width, it takes 1" back spacing.

According to Camaro Performers, summer 2001 issue.
(...235/40rubber up front, and 315/35steamrollers inside of rear fenders that have been tubbed 3inches.)
Also had 17s at the time.

The rear end was shortened according to the article. Also the 315" tire in Camaro Performers was a typo- he's running 335/18's and the 17in wheels at one point may be a mistake also.

Well, after a little research...I tracked down Daryl Kallweits(Boesch Auto Body) '68 Orange Camaro's Colorado Custom wheel order!!! Turns out we were all wrong..but close! Results:
Rears: 18x12 w/ 5.75 BS
Front: 18x8 w/ 5.75 BS

**My question is Would 18x8's with 5.75 BS fit a '67 F-body thats dropped 2-3 inches?? I know most recommend a 5" BS w/ 18x8's.**
