Two are 14 x 6.75 and two are 14 x 9, all are 3-3/4" backspacing.

Will the 3 3/4 backspacing work for a 68?

My old Fenton, Slotted Mag's, 14" x 7" and 9" are like yours and the E/60-14's rub the front lip.

Plus, I had to raise the rear using coil-over shocks to fit my great big L/60-14's that actually are like a 298/53-14 modern tire by my tapemeasure!!

I personally liked the rear look but I remember when raised rears and low fronts as well as reversed were the trends in car height.

I think the raised fronts were first, though...
