Is 15X8 as big as you can run on a stock suspension 69?

Jerry, I had a set of 15x10's that I got in a set of 4 15" wheels. I ran them for a month but then sold them and I run the 15x8's now in back. They didnt rub unless I hit a bump hard, BUT I also have new Eaton 5 leafs springs that keep the back end up pretty high too, but it still rubbed on bumps.

What backspacing did you end up running, and what size tires?

Jerry I didnt measure the b.s. and they are still on the rear now.
I started with 15" x 10" wide corvette ralley with 265-50-15 TA's, removed them and now Im running the 15" x 8" corvette rally with 215-60-15 TA's with 14" rally's and TA's on the front.
next time I pull the rims off I will mark down the b.s. for you. You can look at the pics in my signature for an idea of how they sit.

You need 4.75" backspacing on 15X8 you can run 275-60-15 on them. I have a set on my car now. You can run the 10s but it takes a little work.

I talked with a couple of guys at Crusin' the Coast last Oct. One had 15X10 w/5" BS. He had 295/60R/15's but said it required massaging the inner wheel well. The other had 15X10 w/5" BS also, but he was running 275's. That one required no hammer to wheel well. He did say it would rub on occaision. He also said he had 15X8's with 4.75 BS and they did NOT rub at all.
