Cool

I forgot to post this thread over here, but here is a 68 Camaro that I and Chicane are working on at my shop. We measured the car for an hour or so, and came up with a custom off set that really nails the stance on the car.
The specs are 17x8.5 with 5.1" of BS on the front with a BFG G-Force KD 245/45/YZ/17, and a 17x9.5 with 5.625" of BS on the rear with a BFG G-Force KD 275/40/YR/17. Here are the pics:

PS- More images to follow.

Admin Edit: pic's not loading today and were taking too long to load when they worked. I access right off backbone at office and dsl at home. Please keep the dialup user in mind when displaying pic's... thanks,

I never get tired of looking at that. Looks great, Tyler! What did you think of the DSE coilover conversion? What spring rate did you use? Did you have an idea of ride height before you put the coilovers in? I'm 99.9% sure that's what I'll be doing with my front in a month or two.

I feel safer asking these questions here instead of PT so Ralph doesn't have to chime in. LOL

That was the nicest garage (including the contents) that I have ever seen. AWESOME!

Scott-
The DSE coil over conversion was a sweet setup. I enjoyed doing the mod (unlike the SFC's from them, a real PITA) and it looks cool as hell. The client is using a BBC 502 with a T56 by yours truly, so we went with the aluminum bodied Koni coil overs with a 650 # spring. It should **** nice and low, but still have great clearence.
Green Hornet-
That is my shop, not a garage. It is in the industrual part of town, and is called American Touring Specialties. That's what I do for a living, i build kick as 1st gens. I love it.

Sure, now you tell me. LOL I have the DSE SFC's sitting in the shop, I'll probably get to them next week. I sold my TKO and I'm going to do a T56, so I'll be sending some money your way for your kit in the future.

BTW, I think the new American Touring Specialties logo kicks ***.

Poor Ralph. LOL! I think he just tries a little to hard. Once he ages some, maybe he'll calm down a little, .

I understand his enthusiasm, but I wish he would just relax a little bit. LOL

Sorry to hi-jack your thread, Tyler. Where did you get the Fikse's?

Scott, no problem. I know how Ralph can be more than anyone. I sold him a car after all, and it was a 9 month process.
We got the Fikse's directly from Fikse. Good company to work with.

What are you doing about inner tire clearence? the right rear shot looks like the tire is right on the inner fender or only about 1/4" from it. Is the rear so ridged there will be no flex other than from the tire?

You guys might want to remember when talking about someone on a board like this it isn't the same as being in another room where the target can't hear you...

Nah, it's not like that, Dennis. I talk to him all the time. He's just... extremely enthusiastic.

Tyler, what kind of turn around time did you have with Fikse? Just curious how that compares to HRE.

We have exactly a 1/4" on each side, but I know that the rear doesn't flex from side to sid, so I'm not worried about rubbing. We have a bunch of room next to the shock, it just looks like we are too close.
Thanks for changing the pics, it seems PT.com is down today.
