I have 15x7's on the BACK of mine and I run 255/60/15. The wheels are a stock Monte Carlo offset. Also it is lowered 2". HTH,

Sandite67,

First off Welcome Aboard!

This subject has been beaten to death. Try running some searches, I have a feeling you will find the answer you seek.

FYI: I run 235/60/15's on the front.

Sand,
Be careful. I also run 235/60/15s on the front (and rear) however my 68 is 99% original. Which means my springs and shocks are original, and in need of replacement. Just make sure you have a descent set of springs. With 15x7s, you should be more than fine! Welcome!

Darran,

What is the backspacing on the rims you bought?

I believe the backspacing is 4-1/2. I will double check that(I have had the wheels for quite a while and I need to refresh my memory). thanks for all the responses and help.

If they have a 4.5" BS you should have no trouble using a 235/60/15 tire all the way around.

Might be close. My 8" ralleys have 3.75" backspacing with 245/60x15's and there is about 1" clearance to the inside wall.

Question

MisterG,

What are the "metric" converted tape measurements of the dia. and section width of your mounted 295's??

I am just curious to know if they really measure a true 295.

I know my old L-60/14's measured a 298/53-14 on my old 14" x 9" Fenton slots like yours. So they were by no stretch a 60 tire, imho!!
