recently purchased 16x8 torq-thrusts w/4"b.s. would 245/50 tires fit in rear & not stick outpast fenderwell.am going to use 225/50 on front.

That might be real close to rubbing on the outer wheel lip if your car is lowered. I have some 255/16 on 16x8 with 4.5" backspacing and it's pretty close to the outer wheel lip. My car is not lowered so I don't think it will be a problem.

Jeff H. thanks for the help. my car is a 68 z/28 w/new 4 leaf springs it is not lowered.also considered 255/50's but thought that might be pushing it a bit. car is lowered in front w/ hotchkis springs & heidt's tubular control arms.thanks again.

I do have 225/50/16 up front and 255/50/16 on my 67. It has single leaf springs. The wheels are Wheel Vintiques in 7/16 and 8/16. The rears have a 4" BS. The fitment is fine, and I didn't have to modify the wheelwells.

Thanks French 67. The wheels I got are Torq Thrust D's.They only come in 16x8 but with the 4" b.s. I think I'll be fine on the front & rear.Checked out your ride,looks sweet.Thanks again.
