I have searched fruitlessly for this to no avail. Can anyone decipher these alpha/numeric codes on my rims? The rims are the 5 spoke SS type.

Outside by valve stem is "4 (valve stem) 23 AO"

Stamped between rim "14 x 7 JJ" Below this is "8 87"

No other markings except "made in MI". I know the MI is Michigan and the 14 x 7 is rim size but do not know what the rest means.

Thanks for any and all replies.

4 = April
23 = 23rd day
AO = Correct for late 69 SS Camaro or SS Chevy II on 14x7 JJ (Could also be early 1970, however I don't have the numbers past 1969.)

14x7 = size of course
JJ = the rim contour type
8 87 = should be the date that part of rim was run. 8 being the day of the month. Not sure on the 87, usually there is a letter here. The inside number is only the date that piece was made, while the outside number is the dated the rim was completed.
