The new wheels and tires are on!
8.5 X15 - 5"b.s rear convo pro's with 275/50/15 bfg drag radials & 4" 1.75 b.s convo pro's with 165vw tires up front.
It was a lot of work to get the rear wheels and tires to fit on my 69.
I had to move the bottom shock mount in on the drivers side a bit & had to move the top of the shock in a bit on the passenger side. A whole lot of massaging on the inner wheel wells. I also had to put a 1/4 spacer on the passenger side and they still rub very slightly with passengers in the car taking tight corners. You can't feel it but I saw the rub spots on the inner wheel wells. I still have to trim the lips on both sides maybe a 1/4" or so. It's a lot of work to get that fat tire in there but it does look good, by the way, I have drum brakes in rear
