Need help on how this set up will look.

Tires: BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KDW (TT)
Rear: 255/45 17 (Diameter 26.1)
Front: 235/45 17 (Diameter 25.4)

Or

Tires: BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KD
Rear: 255/40 17 (Diameter 25.0)
Front: 225/45 17 (Diameter 25.0)

Wheels: Tourqe Thrust IIs
Rear: 17x9 with 5.5 B/S
Front: 17x8 with 4.75 B/S

Will the first tire combination (KDW TT) look good from the side, front etc... with the Overall Diameter difference of .7" and the Aspect difference of .36"? Or I can go with the second tire combination (KD) and not worry about it because the Aspect is @ 3.99" and 4.02" for Front and Rear. I think I just answered my own question...the only difference is the KDs are more expensive than the KDW TTs and the tread wear and wet performance ratings go down.

I just do not want to risk the 275/40 and 245/45 combination with rubbing or rolling my wheel well edges. Additionally, I have to sign for a custom rear wheel. Any other recommendations than what I have?

Also, has anyone had and negative problems with hidden valves on the wheels?

Thanks for any input!

Ken

Ken - I'm running the 255/45/17 and 235/45/17's on mine in Nitto NT555's. The diameter is advertised at 25.28 and 25.95

Tire detail is kinda hard to see in this one,

but it's a little better in this shot...

Dennis, very nice 69. Thanks for the picture. It helps seeing what they will look like before I spend the money. Just curious, what size rims and backspacing do you have? Ken

My '67 has TT II 17"; 7" fronts w/ 4.5 bs and 8 " rears w/ 4.75" bs

Tires are 235/45 front, 255/50 rears

Rears have rubbed on the inner tub (I see rub marks)

Fronts rub on outer well and bolts (I HEAR those!, I had to remove the bolts) I have a 2" drop. I can give you my hub to well measurements if you want.

Overall this is a good setup on a '67-8. IMO, I think your sizes will be too big.
