What's the widest tire you can go with on a stock 14x6 rally rim for a '67? I've got 245's on my '67 and they rub, when I'm at full steering lock during a u-turn. Ugh! Maybe I should go to 225's in the front?

ride height will affect your tire clearance some - so will the rim offset - I've got 265\50R15 BFGs on 15x8 vette ralleys (front), and 295/50R15 BFGs on a 15x10 Wheelvintique (rear with 6" offest). Fronts are tight and will rub if your camaro sits too low - my 69 sits up a bit (2-3") between top of the tire and bottom of fender. Thr rears will not work unless you move the rear shocks inboard. More rubber than most use with out going to a 17" rim....sorry this doesn't answer your question - hope to give an idea of what you could fit in there! Good luck!!!

Yeah, doesn't really answer my question. But how do I adjust ride height in the front. Just curious.

With 205 70 14 on my stock 6-inch rally rims and drum brakes, the tires rubbed on the frame toward the back of the car (behind the front wheel in other words). When I went to disks, the rubbing went away.

205 is obviously a whole lot less tire (about 2.5 inches), but a 6-inch rim just won't take much tire without too much sidewall bulge.

I used to run 235/60R-14 BFG Radial T/A's on 14x6 ralleys on my old 68 RS. It came with 225's front and 245's rear, but the 245's rubbed and I wanted to be able to rotate the tires.

That set-up will also work on a 67.

'67 Plain Jane Coupe - Penske Blue, Z/28 stripes, 350HO & Tremec TKO500

With front discs I was running 215/60s on the front and 245/60s on the rear. No rubbing at all. Good luck!
