I would like to install a set of standard steel wheels on my 1969 Nova with the dog dish hubcaps.

It looks like I will go aftermarket for a source, but the size is a concern.

Can someone tell me what the OEM sized wheel was?

I believe it to be 14 by 6 inches wide, but what backspacing?

Thanks!

14x7 is the correct size. I believe they are 4" offset. That is 4 inches from the hub to the back bead of the rim.

Thanks Jonesy!

Talked with Wheel Vintiques. They do make a near reproduction (or atleast enough for me-only $62 each!), but they thought the wheel was a 6 inch wide wheel?

I had a set of 'SS' wheels that measure 14 X 7 so do wonder if the 'bottom base' wheels were only 14 X 6 sized.

He also recommended a 4 inch backspacing.

I have no inkling of making this car handle so figure the slightly narrower might be less weight to boot.

Thanks!
